Since somebody asked, I thought I would post the info again.

Still looking at having drag racing on Thursday nite at the MCCI Round-Up Nationals. In order to do this, we need at least 10 people/cars willing to pay $50 to race. At this point, I am taking names of people who would be willing to do it. If there is enough interest...I will pursue it further. If you are interested, email me your name and I will add it to the "seriously interested" list.

If I want to run 2 cars, I hope I dont have to pay double. I can only run 1 at a time. Also if we get more than 10 guys, are we going to divide the cost between the participating parties to lower that figure? I think spectators should pay $5 just to help defray the costs.

I would say if you want to tear-up...I mean Race....two cars, you would pay once. The rule would be that they both would have to be your cars, or if you raced somebody else's car, they would have to pay to have it raced. I really don't want to get into every scenario....but we should all try to be fair with each other so this can happen and nobody get mad or feel that they are being ripped off.

If more than 10 race....than the cost will be less. I need at least 10 people willing to pay $50, or 5 people willing to pay $100. I think I will have better luck getting 10 people to get this thing started.

I don't think we want to charge spectators. There will be some that won't go because they don't want to pay $5 for each member of their family to watch others race. I think the key is to get people together to have fun, and to give those an opportunity to race their cars if they wish. As many passes as each racer is going to get....$50 is an absolute bargain.

Those are my thoughts, but I always like to hear others.

Well, kids could be free, but, they have to qualify physically to be a kid. Otherwise nobody would pay.

I'd like to race but if I break my car it's a long walk home.

    P.S. Would I qualify as a kid?

Doug, I can just picture you leasing Mavericks, dressed up like a used car salesman, plaid polyester suit, polka dot tie, white shoes... telling me the car was only driven on Sundays by a little old lady. :D
