That is a great looking ride. The factory should have built that. The lines are perfect.

That is the closest thing to a good looking Fairmont I've ever seen.

they would hav had to add a functional tail gate tho to make it a production car, or atleast be able to go against the elcomino

    You don't see those much...
They pop up on eBay occaisionally, but not that nice.

I'll have to check the "B" engine code, but I believe the Fairmont only came with a 255 v8 in 80.

Well, I went ahead and checked the VIN anyway...
    B engine code is 200 cid I6.
So not only is it not a 302 car, it is not a v8 car.

Oh wow, the seller is a real piece of work.

I sent him a message stating that the car had a 200 from the factory, since, while he doesn't directly say that it is the original engine, the way the auction is worded does lead you to believe that.

Here is the message I sent him: According to the VIN you posted in the auction, this was not a factory V8. The engine code B in the VIN means it came with a 200 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder. Also, the only V8 you could have got from the factory in this car in 1980 would be a 255 V8, which was a junk smog engine. The 302 was not available. Just thought I would let you know.

    His reply:

do you have enough money to buy it. do you think you will win the biding. i doubt it. the people that will win know everything about this car and have already driven it, looked at the window sticker that says the car came with a 6 cyl. its one nice ****ing car and please do not bug me. if you have the money and want to buy the car let me know other wise find someone else to **** with. if someone buys it and does not like it i will buy it back. just wanted to make sure you know how i feel about poeple like you. dont bother me again. im not nice. i have money and im not hiding a thing. **** off

    I'm scared. :rofl2:

    It's up to $19k!:rofl2:
I'd bet every bit of that amount that the shill is ON!
The car is rare and this one is nice, however, it isn't that rare or that nice.
    Dude is playing games.

    Painted grille and bumpers too.
The grille should be chrome... Probably peeling chrome so they painted everything monochromatic. Usually means they are hiding flaws on a vehicle for sale.

Somebody needs to take a chill pill. ( I was gonna say something else but I'm trying to quit talking like that):yup: I envy you for taking that so lightly. I can't stand people like that and I just... ooohh...
anyways. the reserve STILL hasn't been met. I wonder if it will be, seeing as how the people who will win it know EVERYTHING about it...:)
