I was digging around through some spare parts and ran across this oldball base. It has a d0db part number on it. Notice the narrower mounting channel and the step ridge in the plastic near the door handle hole. It has a D0DB-6224144-AW and the regular style base has D0DB-6224144-EW Is it possible that this is yet another difference to be added to the list of 69.5 early car variations?
Very cool, never noticed that before. I’ll have to go through my pile of them and see if I have one like that.
The "A" in the suffix code would indicate that is is from the 1st engineering design. I wonder how long it was used before a change was made?
