My dad just bought an electric paint sprayer to paint his newly built shed and he is convinced i could use it to spray the floorpans in my car. I recently went through some rust work and am wondering if this will work. Aesthetics are not that important in this situation just effectiveness.
    Thanks for your input.

Thinned down properly that should do well. Practice and adjust different patterns ought keep overspray down.

Back around 1972 I painted a whole car with one of those. Took a lot of color sanding and buffing to get it looking even half right. Your floor boards won't care.
