Can anyone Help or shed some light.
I think I have a cracked engine block.

    1974 comet 250eng. w/air

I have engine oil in my cooling system before and after doing a valve job. The NAPA machine shop said the head was warped and now after spending $350. for a completly rebuilt head I am back where I started from.

The engine sounds fine, but my radiator is filling up with engine oil.

The head was torqued sequentialy from 50,60 and finnally to 75 ft. lbs. I was very careful to ensure clean surfaces.

I do not see any oil cooler, only a power steering cooler.

    Any response is welcome-Thank You

    Sounds exspensive

Sounds to me like you have one of few problems, a head that is still warped, a bad headgasket, or a cracked block or head. I always say go where the hands have been so you might want too have the head surface checked again for straightness and make sure the head gasket isn't damaged.
If it's the block that has a crack in it, that can be hard to find sometimes and it's the most exspensive too fix.
If I we're you I would start looking for a new motor. You can probably get one used for less than the cost of fixing yours. Good luck

Do you have an automatic transmission ? Could it be trans fluid instead of oil ? If the car has auto trans, is the radiator original ? If so, the radiator may be leaking trans fluid into the coolant that way. Just something else to check in to.

    oil in water

Are you getting water in the oil also?, have a good shop pressure check the radiator and should shed some light on where the leak is. I think the trans cooler section of the radiator is a good idea for a leak also. Did the engine ever get extremely hot?

Just a quick thought, make sure you flush everything really well, before you decide for sure you still have the same problem. I've jumped to conclusions before

Had this exact problem on a circle track race engine a few years back. Oil in radiator, no anti-freeze in oil. It was a cracked cylinder wall. Piston would exert force against cracked wall, forcing oil through, but coolant pressure was evidently not enough to force anti-freeze through the other way. A sleeve cured it.
