Fan Blade

I have a 72 Grabber 302. The fan blade i have on there has 4 blades.. I was looking in the auto krafters book and it seems the blade i have on there is for a 6 cyl. Seems like i should have a 6 blde on there... can someone verify that for me???

I have a factory 71 Comet GT with 302 and its a 4 blade. Unless you have factory air, it normally is a 4 blade.

 

GREAT!!! now i just need a shroud. at least i know its correct...

i dont think non a/c 6ers had shrouds did they?

 

I've never seen one with a shroud.

 

WHen i got this car, it had a shroud and i dont have A/C. but the shroud was broken... factory 302 auto.

 

The V8 cars, Maverick and Comets, had shrouds, at least all mine do. I thing the six cylinder has a shroud too but I would have to look to be sure.

 

My Comet did not have a shroud. Being the car was 32 years old when I got it, I cant say for sure if it came from the factory that way, but the whole car looked to be original. I would vote only the ac cars had shrouds. As far as 6 cyl, I have only seen shrouds on factory ac cars.

 

yea, my A/C comet had its original shroud all broke up in the truck. the last owner killed it when trying to pull the alternater out

 

None of the cars I have seen were AC cars and they all had fan shrouds.

 

My 77 6 banger has factory A/C and has a shroud. My other 2 cars that came with 6 bangers do not have shrouds. I have always thought that only 6 bangers with A/C have shrouds as stated before. My first Maverick was a 72 Grabber V8 and I got it in 1974, it did have a shroud and was not an A/C car. My Stallion is not an A/C car and had a shroud. It is a V8 car also.
