Ford Ranger - Can't Pull Codes

    2000 Ford Ranger

    CEL came on this evening. Hooked up my code reader to it and nothing. Hooked up a second and still nothing. Truck runs fine, but the fact that I can't pull the codes concerns me. Thoughts?

    does the light stay on? if it's just an active code. sometimes u have to catch them while it's on before it will read.

    stored codes on the other hand will show up on a scanner at any given time

    Yep. Woke up out of a dead sleep last night and remembered I had pulled one of the fuses *that didn't appear to do anything* to replace my aux power outlet fuse a few months back.
