Do someone knows if SN95 mustang wheels will fit a '76 Maverick??? I'm asking this because it seems it'll be pretty hard to find some Mag 500  in the nearest junkyards, but I'll take a try.
Right now I have hubcaps, and I'm not a real fan of them. I'll keep'em anyway.

Another question, what do you think of 2000-01 Lightning wheels?? I know they're 18x9 , but they're awesome  Wonder if they'll fit or require some major modification. Moreover I'm gonna do a photochop of them on a mav...so stay tuned :D

Also, I've heard that wheels bigger thant 15" affect the velocimeter or economy, or something like that. Is that true???

Sn95 Wheels Require Wheel Spacers To Work, And In My Opinion, I Wouldn't Even Think About Driving My Car With Wheel Spacers On It. As Far As Lightning Wheels Go, They Use The 5x5" Truck Bolt Pattern And Wont Work On Mavericks

All "Lightning" wheels are 135mm bolt pattern not 5",they also use 14mm studs. New Mag. 500 wheels are not much more than a set of "used" wheels that may be warped or damaged and unsafe.

I bought my Magnum 500s from Summit Racing. Made by Wheel Vintiques.
15x7 and 15x8. Very happy with quality.

Rim size does not matter as far as the speedometer is concerned.
The total height of the tire is what matters.
If your speedo is calibrated to 25" tall tires, then you can use a 13" rim, or a 20" rim, if the tire mounted to that rim is only 25" tall, you are fine.
If you use a shorter tire, your speedo will read higher than actual, taller makes it read lower.
Economy only factors in for the same reason...
A shorter tire is like using more gear and will affect accelleration and lower mpg.
A taller tire is like adding highway gear and will slow accelleration and add mpg.
All of this is in theory, if you stay close to the same diameter tire, you won't notice any difference.

They also say that since rim weighs more than tire, so in theory, if you go from a 14" to 17" rim, you are adding rolling weight.
