I'm looking for a 2007 Ford f250/350 with the triton 6.8l v-10 to design headers on. I would perfer a local vehicle, but I'm open minded. The whole process takes about 1 week and when the first production run is complete you will get a free set of ceramic coated headers for your trouble. If you think we can help each other then please post here or call me at (951) 371-1744 ext.253 or email me at jjoyce@jardineproducts.com. I have a whole laundry list of upcoming projects I need vehicles for so give me a call. Lots of newer toyotas, nissans, fords, chevys and dodges on my wish list so give me a call. The vehicles have to be in stock condition as far as lift / lowering kits, exhaust system from the cat forward, etc. thanks!!!! Jamie Joyce
Headers and full dual exhaust on a V10 would sound wicked. Heard one a while back with just duals and it sounded like an indy car when it revved. Sorta like a V8 just idling and it really surprised me how well it accelerated. Oh and by the way you cannot compare the sound of a Ford V10 to a Dodge V10. The Dodge fires 2 cylinders at one time which makes more or less a pair of 5 cylinder engines hitting at the exact same time...sounds like a Tractor kind of.
I did headers and cat back on an srt 10, got it up to 165mph on the dyno. That, my friend, is a wicked sound . The ground was shaking big time. Also, the last ford v-10 I did (2v) made an incredible amount of power. Something like 35 hp. Also picked up around 3 miles per gallon. Everyone we sell those to calls back very happy . I want to see what the new head design can do on the 6.8l. Should be fantastic .
the v 10 4 valve is a POWER HOUSE , when i worked at the ford dealership i plowed snow with the 05 v10 valve its a beast! it would prolly whoop a 460 any day of the week in a older ford , the Torque numbers are 490-500 i never liked v10s till then
Dodge V10 sound is similar to my old SVO 4 banger turbo. They are super loud and super abnoxcious. On the SVO, it was quiet until I got on the throttle hard, and at about 4000 RPM when the WG was fully open, the exhaust was so loud that you could feel every exhaust pulse. Thats how a Dodge V10 is too...The Fords fire each cylinder individually rather than 2 at a time, which makes them sound a bunch better. They sound more refined if you will. Kind of like a V8 with a flat crankshaft or a 180 deg header, but they sound more like a F1 car if you've ever heard a F1 V10. BTW the Ford V10 for '06 is not a 4 valve...it's a 3 valve just like the 5.4 & 4.6 Mustang. Here is a Ford V10 clip revving to about 3000 RPM: http://gibsonexhaust.com/sounds/mp3/album3/06_F250_68L_v10_ds.mp3 Dodge: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UrJW_MMzBb0
lol, i've got an 05 dodge grand caravan with the bigger v6 motor if you ever get a strange idea to make minivan headers
