    2-door fenders will also work.

Correct me if I am wrong...

I am pretty sure that 73 fenders will fit as well. Don't know if this is completely accurate, but I heard it from reliable sources a while back. 2-door, and 4-door fenders will work.

Hey, I learned something today then! I thought the 4-door ones were shorter. Now I know incase I happen across some good 4-door fenders. Thanks for the info!

all fenders for Mavericks and Comets are the same with with 1 exception. 70 to 72 fenders have a notch out of the front, bottom edge, just ahead of the side marker light for the stone guard to stick through. 73 to 77 are squared off. If you put an early fender on a later car, this notch will have to be filled in with a piece of sheet metal or a piece cut from your old fender. To put a later fender on an older car, the notch has to be cut out.

The headlite buckets and how they mount is also different from the early years to the late years. As long as you have the matching year "bucket" and hardware...this is not a problem. If you try to mix them...it will not work.
