Hi guys, I have removed the tank from the Merc1. I got a buddy to coat it to get rid of the rust. Now I am curious about replacing the fuel lines. Yes, or no? I have replaced the rubber connections in between the metal fuel lines.
Also, I plan to paint the tank and the underneath of the car. Any ideas?

If the stock fuel lines are showing signs of corrosion it may be a good idea to go ahead and replace them. There are many choices when changing fuel lines but my advice would be that if you plan on any performance upgrades in the future you may want to install a bigger than stock fuel line. There are many types of fuel line available, stock replacement, stainless steel, aluminum, teflon lined stainless braided.........just gotta ask yourself how much you want to spend. For the painting under the car I would use POR-15.
