Hi All... Just wanted to share a brag from this past weekend. We entered our 71' Grabber in our first show first show at Fun Ford Weekend at N.E. Dragway in NH, and won Best in Open Class! There were 197 entries, but we were the only Maverick entered. We did see 5 other Mavericks there, but they were racing, not showing. It was a fun weekend, lots of really nice cars, both in the show, and on the dragstrip, and it was nice to see the Mavericks racing too...

I've attached a pic from the show

Glad to hear your Maverick did well at the show. I went last year and we had two Mavericks in the show mine and a work in progress. I didn't win anything but it was nice to see some other Mavericks for a change. Five raced that day.

I wish I had gone again this year to see your car.
I'd just gotten back from vacation and with the weather being so hot on Sunday I talked myself out of going.:(

There aren't very Many Mavericks up this way.

Great looking car. I think I saw it for sale a few years ago at Carlisle. How long have you owned it?

congratulations lynne, thats a nice looking maverick.i'm sure your rightfully proud of it. iassume the open class is probably a hard one to win since there probably are a lot of different makes and models,

    Thanks for the replys!
Grabber351, too bad you didn't come it would have been nice to see your car too, I checked out your website, your car looks very nice! You're right about the heat, it was brutal! Shade was hard to find, and didn't help too much either! I think Fun Ford Weekend would have been a lot more fun if it had been cooler out! Hope to maybe run into you at a local event!

    Hi Mavaholic,
We got the car about a year ago. The car is originally from Connecticut, and the guy we got it from did go to Carlisle this year with his 70' Ranchero GT. He had it for 5 years... so it could have been there! It will be there next year, not for sale, but we're planning on going... Hope to see you there!

Hey Lynne. Glad to here you will be comming to Carlisle next year. I remember that car and at the time, wished I had some extra bucks because I would have bought it. It is a very nice car indeed. Looking foward to next year.
