Tracy, Rick and I are getting together at the Fun Ford Weekend this Saturday and Sunday at the Raceway in Baytown. We aren't having a Maverick meet, per say, just a chance to get together and chat. Also, you can expect to see a handfull of Mavericks on the dragstrip. I've been looking forward to this event for quite some time! (This will be the first time I've driven my '72 Grabber outside the Austin area). If anyone else is interested in going, e-mail me and we'll set up a meeting place. It's sure to be a fun-filled weekend. Last year they had some NICE early-mid 60's rides (in the show and on the track). From what I read on the local bulletin boards, I think this is gonna be one of their biggest turn-outs ever. Doug, if you show your car, you're allowed to bring your own food and beverages (just go through the 'racing/show' entry). Us po folk have to spend our hard-earned cash on $3.50 Pepsi's and $5.00 burgers (and yes, the occasional $5 beer). Bring lots of water! It's gona be a scorcher. See you guys there, Rick
