I got a question about removing my gas tank. Here is my situiation: The car has been gutted, nothing remains but the an empty husk of a car. So i have no way to tell exactly how much gas is in the tank. I tried to syphon it, but to no avail, the pump i have is a piece of crap. I know there is some gas in there, i am guessing 1/4 of a tank. I have a 1972 200I6, i'm not sure how big the tank is. I guess my question is...can someone tell me how to take it off. thanks

take a short piece of fuel hose and put it on the end of the outlet tubing. Then stick a small bolt in the end of the hose and clamp it down. You can safely remove the tank without spilling anything.
