What's the best bulbs to replace the dim factory bulbs in the instrument cluster in my '73 Maverick?

I used LED"S. there's a how to in the cosmetic section ( I think) on how to paint the inside and replace bulbs. Looks a lot better now.

Before you paint the inside cluster try some LEDs. You can find some pretty bright ones and sometimes they aren't dimmable. When I painted my cluster and used LEDs it was too bright. I swapped back to a stock cluster and it was perfect

The problem with factory bulbs is there are only three of them for lighting cluster...

Usually, they are dim because they are old & worn out. A new set of 194s should cure the problem, but if you want something brighter, some green LEDs from superbrightleds.com will do the trick. No need to paint the cluster.
