getting stuff put together and noticed something

    Well, I've got my tranny and motor in. I hooked up my driveshaft, put some atf in the tranny. I'm moving around in the garage and the tranny is in gear but I can still roll the car around, no matter what gear. Everything should be hooked up, except the starter is not in. Besides that driveshaft spins and so does the yoke on the tranny and rearend. Something is odd and I cant figure it out. Will it still roll without the starter??

    Weird problem.
    I think I'd double check your clutch set up to make sure it's fully engaged and your shifter mechanism to be sure you're actually in gear.
    Your transmission, is it a known good unit?
