since this isnt even ford related i thought i'd post i here. ive been working on a '85 cutlass 2dr on and off in the yard for about 3 years now and its pretty much road worthy so after i get it taged and insured i was thinking of taking it down the 1/4, just to see how good i did (y) ive been to the strip a few times with friends as a spectator but never as a driver. it has a 400 ci small block.... um im not sure if i want to say it.. oh well... deep breth... chevy:hide: edelbrock preformer intake and 4bbl carb. the bottom end was rebuilt by a previous owner so im not sure what cam, crank and bore it may have. i bought it from a police impound so its not compleatly documented but its hella quick. my oldsmobile 350 engine i had put in it took a dump back over the winter so i went with the best bang for the buck, its eventually going to get another true olds block under the hood one day. all i really know is the casting # said its a 400. it has a th350 auto trans and floor shifter with a 7.5'' 3.70something posi rear. as of now it has open headers with 90* elbows to bring it out under the doors but i do ive a dual exhaust with 2 cats ready to bolt up if necessary. obviously im not trying to make a serious race car, just something to have fun in but i'd like to get a few timeslips under my belt and maybe a few mustangs on my "kills" list :yup:

the ironic part is my regal and monte carlo both have a small block olds under the hood, yet the cutlass and grand prix are chevy powered :hmmm:

BTW If anyone out there is working on a G-body GM i have a boat load of stuff left over

Redneck yard? With only one car in the photo? No way man!But I do like the chrome cutlass rims, that could be a fun street sleeper w/the right exhaust on it.

i pulled the chrome rims off a '85 cutlass salon i was stripping. my cutlass did have the same rims but they were body colored. i put those on my '87 pontiac which is the same color. the pontiac has a blown rear and trans which is why the guy was happy to take $50 for it, no joke.
[IMG] not too bad huh? its a factory floor shift car with bucket seats and v8, even though it is only a 305 but a previous owner put a set of super comps on it

its a little dirty under the hood, but like i said, she's got it where it couts. you can see some ass side swiped me on the rear 1/4 where all the bondo is when i had it parked in the street for 1 night :(

    heres the cutty's power plant.

i put A/C back on it put i think im going to take it back off since i'll never use it. i also plan on dropping the power steering set up and swapping on a manual gear box off a S10 truck which is a direct swap.
