I just installed a Grab-A-Trak kit from Mustangs plus into my 1971 Maverick w/302. They had a kits for my 1971 Maverick and some Comets. I used my original coil springs. Lowered car onto tires and there is no movement (travel) in the suspension. If I compress the spring, i.e. get it off of the upper A-Arm perch, the suspension moves as it should. Bind somewhere. Anyone have similar experience?

did you lower the car to put full weight on the suspension before final tightening of the bolts?

There really isn't much to tighten. The lower arms have not been tightened at body and the complete upper arm just bolts to the spring tower. However, the lower spring perch does not want to rotate as it should. Like the new bushing is to tight. This causes the spring to bow out. Any ideas??

Sorry to hear about your problems, but here is a perfect example of where "roller spring perches" come into play to eliminate the "bind" and free up your suspension to work as it was design to........

where the spring perches in your kit already installed on the upper arms? Check that the spring/stop is towards the inner shock tower........also, was the coil spring fully seated in the shock tower itself?

That is a gud point! I had my issues w/ not having the spring properly aligned in the top of the tower and had to remove and re-align on both springs. Also, install new spring isolaters in top of tower if you have not done so while springs off the car.
