I was just thinking about how some Granadas had tilt steering columns, and I was wondering if they would fit in a Maverick. I know that Granadas were based off the Maverick platform, but I don't know how similar the steering columns are. My first impression is that they won't swap, but I may be wrong, so I posted this idea. Anyone tried, or actually done this swap? Thanks.

I read something on a Mav web page a long while back where a guy gave a step by step R/R on a tild column. Donor car was a early 90's Tauras if I recall correctly.

I did a tilt column years back using a 80?something mustang column, was the year before they went to airbags....worked great just had to shorten the shaft a little. wiring was something else but liked the way it worked and the new position that the wheel adjusted to.

RadMav, do you happen to have any pics? While I won't attempt to do this swap now, I am thinking about it in the future, and would like to see how it turned out if you have any. Thanks.

That was mine. Still intend to use that got the wheel to fit on the mavericks steering wheel mount and the wiring for the Ford "multi-switch" to mostly work.
