Hi everyone, stupid question. I have my 73 Comet in a enclosed carport with gravel floor. I'm worried about the floor rusting out more since I have some surface rust and one hole in driver floor. Is the gravel ok or could I put down some plywood and park on top of that until I get a garage built? Thanks.

Park the car on top of a plastic tarp. Put a 2x4 up the middle (Under the tarp) From front to back, so it is pitched to allow water to run out from under the car. That should hold you over till you can get it inside in the future. Gravel/wood/black top/concrete are all bad for outside storage since they hold moisture. Indoors is best. I park my cars on a tarp even though they are stored indoors in the winter/summer...

But that causes saggy springs and shocks.

If your not driving the car I would also put it on stands just for good air flow
