    Hi all,
Well i've been replacing tires on the front a lot lately. Just got some new ones on and it seems like they're wearing on the inside too. The big problem is that i've completely rebuild the front end! I have replaced Upper control arm bushings, lower control arms (entire thing), strut rod bushings, all ball joints...everything except the coil spring saddles. Had it aligned several times too. I also have new springs and new shocks. Could the coil spring saddles cause this problem? My other thought is maybe i did the upper control arms wrong. Should i just adjust the camber a little and be done with it? This is getting really annoying, not to mention expensive!

Are you taking it to the same alignment shop? If so, I'd find another. I had the same experience many years ago only worse. The guy kept blaiming everything but himself. And this shop had a great reputation. I probably made 4 trips there trying to get it straight. Finally got fed up and took it somewhere else. 1 visit and it was cured.

I had the same problem years ago, too. Seems the guy at the alignment shop didn't take into account that the published Maverick alignment specs were for the old bias belted tires and not the radials that we have nowadays.

you know, i think that just might be it. the shop i've been using has a good reputation but i'm sure he used the old alignment specs. Thanks for the help guys!

hmmmm.... if the front end was done with those bias ply specs, and of course i have radials, could it make my brakes pull funy? sometimes left, sometimes right? if so, what specs should i use for my 72? i will copy and print them and give to my front end-tologist.
    thanks

Yeah, do you happen to know what numbers to try to attain for a radial, or should i just ask for more camber?

I'll see if I can find the computer printout from the last time I had the Maverick aligned. I usually keep stuff like that, but that doesn't necessarily mean I can find it again. :)
