    Anyone have any experience Hayes Torque converters ? Im thinking on buying a 3200-3600 stall Twister full race converter for the Maverick.

    If it's an off the shelf unit I'd be sceptical of the actual stall speed. You'd do better calling a reputable builder. I bought an FTI converter last year from Summit. Absolutely wasted $400.

    Generic Stall speed is usually quoted based on a car that might be 3200 to 3500 lbs. A lighter car should stall at a lower rpm. It is better to talk specifics with someone. Vehicle weight, cam specs, heads, overall HP characteristics, intended use ... and so, on.
