Hey y'all! My neighbor is parting out a mid 80's F-150 with a 302 and automatic. The truck has long tube headers and I was wondering if y'all think they'll fit on my 93 F-150? Is there a structural difference between the two trucks? They're both ext. cabs, 302, auto....I can get em for DIRT cheap if they'll fit....What do ya think? Thanks!! Preston

Thanks Mr. Graham! I just wasn't really sure. I'm going to get his exhaust too, but I might just use the headers with my 3 inch....I'm not really sure. Thanks again! Take care! Preston

Your 93 is going to need provisions for o2 sensors in the collectors if they are not already there. Just a heads up.
Another thing about long tubes is that they run cooler at the collector than the o2 sensor is expecting to see. This can cause issues and is the reason why long tube headers are a no-no on emission vehicles as far as the Feds are concerned.
That said, as long as the sensors get mounted in the collectors, you're probably okay.

Thanks for the reminder on the O2 sensors. Any idea on where I should try to mount the sensors? I'd like to install headers as it would give me a bit more power and perhaps a little boost in fuel economy....Where do you think the sensors should go? Thanks! Preston
