The 74 bench seat headrests don't really seem to be designed for taller drivers, with it all the way up it's still not really at a good height for me. Does anyone know if the headrests from another ford model would swap into a Maverick? Would the Maverick LDO bucket seat headrests interchange with the stock bench seat? I saw on ebay a set of Mustang Halo headrests that were used from 84-86 that had a similar looking flat bar stock for a mount.

Also, the bigger question; is there a way to remove the old headrests? I thought they would just pull up off the seatback but they just go to the highest height and stop there. Those Mustang headrests have pretty much the same riser bar, I would just need to trim it by 1/4" on either side and it would be the same width as the Maverick one. But first I would need to figure out if I can get the old ones out.

Just pull up on the old ones rear fast and they should op right out.

LDO headrests won't work on a bench seat.
