Heater control valve

    I got the Mav home yesterday but I found that by all appearances, the heater control valve is stuck closed, no heat. The vacuum hose isn't the problem. It looks like the original one so I'm not surprised. Are there any non specific ones that anyone's used that would replace it using the original diameter 5/8" hose? I'm sure this has been asked and answered before.

    2000 Ford Rangers have a valve that should work.

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    Usually they are rotted inside & is nothing to close. Be sure the heater core isn't plugged up.
