I have the stock suspention. Whats the max size rim that i can get on the car with tire? Also i want to raise my maverick a couple of inches and ad support to the frame so when i drive around with a full house the car wont go down with the weight. How would i go about doing that?

The maximum rim/tire size on the rear of a stock mav is approximately 15X8 with at 245/60r15 tire on it.

    That looks like this...

    hi

Hi. Thanks for all the info today. Uve been a lot of help. Now i have another ?? The bars right next to the tire (the chrome ones). Mine are all rusted and do those things help with weight? Can i ad some more to make the car a bit stiffer? The thing is that i just replaces my shocks and i thought that maybe my car wont sink lower when all my friends get in it. That wasnt the case. What do i change to make the car stiffer and so it wont drop much with five people in it. :tiphat:

I hate to say this, but if you HAVE to raise it a couple of inches...

Get new 4-leaf springs. About $100 from JCWhitney. Swap out all the bushings.

Then, If you need to, but I don't recommend it, you can buy lifting shackles from AutoZone for like $15. They are not "healthy" but if you want to haul 3+ people in the back, these will help raise the rear end so they will fit back there.

The problem is that if you hit the the right speed bump hard enough....it might pop the shock right up through the back seat and into your passenger's backs...
