Well now it seems I am in a search for some 11x2in rear brake drums for a large bearing 9in rear end. Wagner # 60204. They are not available anywhere I have searched. If I new what vehicle they fit maybe could get at local salvage yard. The tuff part is they have to be 5x4 1/2 bolt pattern. Have seen them on a big Ford car but can't remember what it was:mad: .Cannot order axles untill I get a fix on the drum situation. Whoa is me

...that sounds like the same size drum as our '68 f-100
Ranger. I am not positive about drum sizes,
but I do not know for surethat is the original rear other than it is a 9 inch 3.25 with the oil fill plug on the front of the pumpkin.
I think that changed in '66 or '67.

Here is the phone number for a place locally that specializes in selling used brake drums and rotors. They have thousands in stock, all organized, and freshly turned on a lathe as soon as you tell them which ones you want. The thing is, most of the ones he sells are new ones that were never used at all. Excellent prices as well.

    Drums

Thanks Craig for the info, the trouble around here is the nasty crusher has been at work in the salvage yards. Most cars and trucks are of 90 models and up. It really sucks. Have got a lead on a yard back in the hills that supposed to have all kinds of old Fords and stuff. Will go there with a local boy(for security reasons-protect an old yankee's a**) Maybe I can find them there and even get a sip of good mash whiskey too. If not, will give the guys you gave me, a call. Thanks again everyone.

    Update on Drums

Just got back from my not to distant parts store, that is in the same town as our race track. The owners and sons all have very fast Camaro's they race when possable. Anyway they are putting a chassis under a 68 SS to race next year, was telling them about my search for drums and the son smiled and told me to forget it. He said he is putting discs on the back of the 68 with 9in in it. The cost was less than 100.00 and that was for new stuff, rotors, calipers, and mounting brackets. Also new pads included, I am now trying to get all the part no's from him and will try this setup on our cars. Will let you all know how it comes out, he said the problems are minor in the change over. Mainly the rotor center hole is smaller than the axle centering hub so they must be machined down to fit the rotor's. Also the bolt pattern is 4 3/4in. Which is Chevy, but since we have to buy new wheels and axles anyway is no big deal to order the Moser's with the correct hub diameter and get some Weld ultra lite wheels which have both bolt patterns anyway. Will stay in touch till I get the parts and pass them on to you guys.

have you considered calling currie enterprises?? they are 10 mins from my house, I know they do a lot of 9 inch work, and would expect they may have a lead on drums
