17x9 (front and rear)
17x9 with 245 / 45 / 17 in front with 1" spacer.(only a 1" not biger)
17x9 with 245 / 45 / 17 in back with 1" spacer.
you can go from 1" up to 1.5" in back if you want to run a biger tire.
I will use 275 / 40 / 17 or 295 / 40 / 17 in rear with a 1.5" spacer.

(wheels are bullitt 5.9 back space)
This will work with no moods needed. (no cutting necessary)

A 17 x 10.5 might fit with a 2" spacer with maybe a little mood needed to the fender. (not cutting just foolding)
Hope this helps you all who wants to to this..
My pleasure to help!!!

Your going to have to do some modding to the rear to get a 17x10.5 wheel and 295/40/17 tire in there. Your talking about a tire thats section width is 11.9 inches! Thats not going to work on a stock Maverick even with a spacer. I measured 14inches from the frame rail to the inner fender lip! The wheel wells are about 1 1/2inches off of the frame rail not to mention the leaf springs, so there goes your clearence. Your going to have some rubbing issues with the inner and outter wheel tub and also with the leaf springs. I'm doing basically a mini tub on my rear without moving the frame rails over for this reason. I've done the measurements and to have the proper clearence needed for a tire that size your going to have to roll the fender lip, move the leaf springs inboard, remove the rear end snubber off the side of the frame, widen the inner wheel tub, and install longer studs on the axles unless your using adapters. Im going with a wider axle so spacers wont be needed.
Not trying to be a jerk but I wouldnt want everyone going out and buying and wheel and tire that big and just thinking they cant bolt it right up with just a spacer and no other problems!

When it warms up to a half way decent temp in the garage I will snap some pics of what I've got done so far. It's barely been in the 30's durning the day. While that may not be cold for some...for an original central Florida boy like myself thats plenty cold!

The picture showing the rear wheel is how it would look like witha a 2" spacer but the tire will hit just a little bit with the fender lip. 245 / 45 / 17.
I'm buying a 1.5" spacer for the back with a 275 / 40 / 17 tire, this set up should make it look some what like that with out moods. the other picture showing the car has the 1" spaer front and back.

I never thought nine inch rims with 245s would fit the front of a maverick.

Thanks for sharing this.

Aren't the factory 93-04 Bullitts actually 17X8 or 8-1/2?

If you mini tub the car, you don't have to have those really thick spacers. The rims will bolt right up in the rear. Even the 10's & 10.5's will fit. That way you dont have to worry about breaking suspension parts. Maybe tear the rearend up with all that meat on the pavement. I have to really be clowning to break traction with 295/35/18's.
