I just dropped in to say hi to all of you guys. My nephew and I are in the process of building a 74 Mav for him to drive to school. For now it will be a 6 cyl (250) car until he proves to his mom to be a reliable driver. We hope to have the car finished in March. Most of my past projects had bowties on them so this is my first Ford to build and I have to admit that this little car has been fun to work on. Here's a pic of the car as it sits now so you can see we have a lot of work to do. We have already put disc brakes on the front, installed poly graphite bushings front and rear, and welded in subframe connectors. More to come later. Thanks for the forum and all of the words of wisdom you guys have posted.

Welcome Greg Its good to see another Maverick given a chance to go back to school, mine was my brother's main transportation all through college before I got it. I drove my Mav from Ft Worth to PA with 10psi of oil pressure. you just can't kill 'em. Good luck with your project and we're here if you have any questions. That is if you can keep away from them "little neck chokers" Russ
