Hood Gas Springs

    Hello all, new year good so far I hope. I am looking for newer gas spring installation for hood of 72 Comet as the last post was 2011 and I can't open any pics. I am getting old [bought car new] and hood is getting heavy! Help!

    Yes, it is very unfortunate, he makes some really great stuff for Mav/Comets!

    Some time back someone on here used F150 hood gas springs with the stock hinges. Said it bent the hinges. I figured I could reinforce them so I bought the gas springs and ball studs but never got around to trying it.
