    I have been looking for a hood with a scoop for my 1972 Comet but i cant find any does anyone know where i can get a '72 Comet GT hood or just another hood with a scoop that would fit my comet

    The only hood that will fit is a Comet hood from the same style. Good luck finding a GT hood. Comet specific parts are not the easiest to find. For example, I have been trying to find a '71-'72 grille for a customer without any luck. I have not seen a GT hood anywhere. Gas caps, I have, but nobody seems to have Comet stuff.

    scoop

    Scoop is the same as the Cougar Elimator used. I got one from a junkyard of a 72 Comet GT 0yrs ago. $10. Part number is a 69 part number. You can find them for the Cougar for about $90. I mounted it on a 82 Merc with a 460. Just right.

    comet parts are very hard to find ive got a boss scoop on mine.

    :) there is a junk yard just south of here that had a gt scoop. i was looking for a grabber hood so i wasn't interested in the scoop. i will try to get by there and see if it is still there...frank...
