    Hooker 6208 Kit

    Parts that you will need to install Hooker # 6208

    Flanges #F86913 from Specialty Products Design 1-888-778-3312
    Fram filter # 3682 or a filter relocation kit to use FL-1A from Summit racing part # FMS-M6880A50 @ $51.95 1-800-230-3030
    Fel-pro gaskets x 2 FPP-1487 or Hooker # HOK-10861
    Also you will need 1"1/4 hedder bolts

    as far as the header bolts go, we went with a pack of ARP Chevy intake bolts, they have the 3/8 head and most of them you can use a socket and ratchet on, which in my opinion was by far easier,, and i dont know if anybody else used the gaskets that the headers come with but i did and they didnt last a month before they blew,, so it might be saving you some time to just buy 2 sets of Fel-Pro's.. just my opinion.. :D

    I too will be a member of the" 6208 club" eventually when I build my 408w. But for now I`ll run my "ported" 6901`s with my 308ci and Victor jr.s :p

    Oh yea ,I`ll be interested to see if the spacer plates have to be used when bolting the 6208`s to a windsor...I assume you dont need them.:confused:

    From what I read on the other thread you need them to avoid the converter housing / block !

    How well do 6901's fit the Maverick ? Just a question for budget minded owners .:confused: :)

    Yes they do ...1 5/8 tubes...No modification required.:)

    Are 6901's a square port or oval port design ?

    They are square (rectangular) port. I "ported " Mine to match the Victor Jr. as best as can be expected with the 1 5/8 Tube size.
    CometGT 1974 (Steven) said he had done the same when he was running them before he made the step up to the 1 3/4 6208`s. I think it is an O.K. compromise untill you are ready to spend the BIG BUCKs ;)
