Funny you should ask. I think there may be some out there that are not as costly, like cut out ones. These are very expensive. Caution, choking hazzard. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=63259
My 2004 edition of AutoKrafters lists them for $164.95, plus $10 boxing rate, and shipping charges starting at $60. You may need to call them and see if they still have them in stock, and what current pricing is.
Dave is correct. The link to the NOS (new old stock) which are original Ford factory stamped pieces, and complete, just what came on the car are different than the repops that are now being offered. Both have their place in the world, just depends on your financial situation, and your desired end result. Note, I bought a set of NOS qtrs about 5 years ago for just under a grand at Ford Carlisle. Ford has not stamped any Maverick/Comet qtrs. for many many years. They popup for sale occasionally.
I'm on the hunt for some NOS ones....600 isn't really that bad, just the location sucks. Someone posted a link to a Ebay seller, that sells Maverick quarter skins pretty reasonable, although they look like they come bare metal, no primer. Do a search, it should pop up.
Search ebay for American Muscle Car. I just ordered a set from them and the total was $427 for the pair shipped. Jim was great to deal with, even spent the time to answer my questions and wrap up the sale on Christmas day.
