I'm looking for a new or used oil pan for my '75 Maverick. I searched the forum and web and it seems they don't make them anymore.

Are they interchangeable with Comets or Mustangs of the same engine/year?

AFAIK a 250 oil pan is a 250 oil pan...

The 250 was also used in '69-'71 Fairlane/Torino/Ranchero/Montego, plus '75-'80 Granada/Monarch... Were never used in fox bodies so I don't think there is a rear sump version...

The 250 is @ 1.5" wider than the 200 (170/144) and is unique to Mav's & the cars mentioned and Mustangs, Comets, etc from @ 69 to @ 79 (??). 250 is basically stroker version of venerable small block six 200 with about 1.5 inch extra deck height and longer crank throws. Cam was moved outward for clearance resulting in wider block but uses same cylinder head.

The Ford Six Performance forum may be a source of info or even a pan.

Correct! I found this out the hard way 23 years ago after spending hours cleaning-up and painting a pan off a 250 to replace the rusty pan on my 200... :(
