I've started to think about next years mini meet(its never too late to start). I was thinking about doing something a little different than this year. Instead of a "car show" or "cruise", how about a "Road Trip"? I was thinking maybe starting near Pittsburgh and drive a scenic route towards Erie Pa. Stopping every so often at different spots for photo ops, and local scenery.
I get bored sitting at a shows all day, I would rather drive my car. For the last two mini meets, all of the cars have been driven to the meets. I think alot of folks had a good time when we got together and cruised on down the road. That to me is just too cool.
Like I said I'm just think about this, so any input would be welcome. Russ

I like that idea. I am planning on getting there next year. My 77 2 door 6 cyl Mav should be able to make the trip from Illinois. I will be retired by then so should be able to get there for sure. I thought I had read where in 2002 you had a dinner at a Quaker Steak and Lube or something like that. That also sounds interesting. Just some thoughts.

Fred Gladmav Kilcullen from the huge metropolis of Chenoa, Illinois (I-55 at exit 187). We are very excited here that the high school has grown to a whopping 133 students. That's everyone, not just the seniors although I think they counted the teachers and janitors in that count.

Count us, we had a great time this year! I just got done emailing Scott, some of the pics from this years show, and some of the pics from the little tour we did before the car show turned out pretty good. I would like to see us do something like that again.

Here's something to think about, if we want to reschedule the meet for the spring. Pittsburgh Raceway Park, our IHRA track, is planning a big event TBA in the spring. It will combine a cruise, swap meet & drag racing. I'm supposed to be involved in the planning as I had a conversation with the track manager Sunday just past, whom I know personally, when we went to watch the Pro-Am eliminations. This might be a neat event to use for the meet platform. Obviously, the meet location would have to change to the track's location in New Alexandria. For those not local, it is about 1 hour east of Pittsburgh right on US Route 22. Just throwing out food for thought.

No. this was the first time I had the chance to get out there this season. They were running Pro-Am championships only on Sunday and he definately wasn't in their classes. Nice Mav, though.

I'd like to make it out there next year, had previous plans this year. Just don't make it the same weekend as Carlisle.
