Well I thouht that I broke a motor mount because of the hellish vibration inside the car. but I checked them out today and they looked fine? I really dont need something major right now. Anyway , the vibration started a couple weeks ago. I was driving on the highway and my gas pedal stuck right to the floor. dont ask me why it was all the way to the floor in the first place:) I'll tell you that is the scariest feeling in the world. all I could do was shut the car off. 4000 rpm full throttle key off=the loudest backfire in the world. that seems to be when the vibration started. it starts to vibrate at about 2500 rpms or 45mph . I really hope I didnt do anything bad to my motor.

    bad vibs

check the u joints, you may have hurt one. If not that, pull the valve covers off and check all the valve train. Rocker arms, retainers, broken springs. Best to do it now then have something break big time. Check the flexplate/convertor nuts for tightness. Pull all the plugs and check them. Check the cap and rotor. Wheel lugs nuts. Find it now or it'll only get worst.

It cant be wheel or u joint related cause it does it in park too, at about 2500 rpm. but I am going outside right now to check those converter nuts. woudlnt a broken valve spring make it run rough?

LOL at the backfire...been there done that many times. Used to do it purposely to scare people. I bet it swelled the muffler or tailpipe and is now making contact with the body or frame, and that's where the vibes are coming from. BTW, flowmasters won't swell as much! You think the throttle sticking @ 4000 is scary, try this. I tried to modify a vacuum secondary carb on the turbo maverick so that pressure would hold the vacuum diaphragm open, rather than vacuum. I did not realize that when I let off, there was still pressure in the manifold, and the secondaries were still wide open. As long as the secondaries were open, there was boost, and the pedal was all the way up. Imagine that at around 500 HP and close to 80 mph (and climbing VERY quickly) coming up on a curve! LOL I think I might've stained the seat:D
    Lesson learned
