Im Pissed and armed with a hammer

    Im at my wits end here guys ... How the heck do you remove the !@#$%* windshield trim ??? Ive pried,poked ,prodded and seriously considered just ripping it off and worrying about replacing it later... any suggestions ??

    Go down to the parts store and pick up the $10 tool to do it .... The one I have looks kinda like a boomerang, fish gutter sort of thing ...

    As a last resort, take it to a glass shop and let them remove it for you. If its not drivable, you might get one of the guys to come to your house & take it off for a few bucks. It would be money well spent.

    If you have trouble finding the tool, Napa carries them,
    To remove the trim ,slide the tool under the trim until you "feel"
    one of the clips . Now use the tool to hook the clip and pull it while you gently pull up and wiggle on the trim until it pops loose from the clip...then move on to the next clip.

    Thats the only way I know how to explain it. You`ll see how its done once you give it a try .

    They make a tool for it? I've always just used a screwdriver. I've got pretty good at it with the many times I've had to do it.

    be careful when using the proper tool for the windshield trim....personal experience,i thouhgt i had hooked the clip but was surprised to find that i had caught the edge of the windshield and cracked the thing.......lucky for me it wasn't my car:D
