These are my lastest purchases. The red '85 was too cheap($500) to pass up.300 six,4x4,granny 4spd and 3.55 gears. It runs/drives good and is very roadworthy, but will be used mostly around here draggin' cars around/hauling trash & stuff.
The brown '75 I've been after for about 5 years. It's an Explorer shortbed 2wd w/a 300,3spd on column.Nothing real special, but this is my favorite bodystyle Ford pickup and most importantly it's about 99% rust free and dent free.Ran great on the 4 mile drive home..considering it hadn't been moved since mid 2003.This one is a keeper.:yup:

Looks like some good deals.I really like the brown shortbed.

That bumpsides and dentsides are the best looking Ford trucks to me. I want to get a dentside too, a single or extended cab with a shortbed would be pretty neat. I've seen single cabs with early 80's short narrow beds and let me tell you they look GREAT! (y) And don't get me started on the first full-size Broncos, I love those.:yup:

Pre-78 trucks have a classic look, and '78-'79 trucks got a more agressive front end. :)

Nuttin wrong with having a few trucks around. I've got two of the 80-86 body style, my 84 4x4 stepside [where my handle comes from] that I've owned about 15 years, and the "Bubba's Dream" 82 stepside that I'm redoing. And my 99 F150 Super Cab is my everyday I'm at home vehicle. That 75 needs a 302 and duals and it would be perfect......:thumbs2:

Actually,I want to be different and I like the 300s.I've got a Crane cam,an Offy 4bbl intake and a set of the late model split exhaust manifolds that will be installed on the '75:burnout:.I've had this stuff lying around for about a year now, just needed the right one to use it on:D.(

    I have a 72' F-100, and had a 55' Ford truck before that.

BTW,reason I say I'm becoming a truck guy is I've already got these two.The '77 is a factory 460 1/2 ton w/about every option available(except 4x4) and the '93 is a basic 300(4.9 for late model fans)5spd 3.08 geared driver. The '77 will get a pair of C9VE heads(bumps comp. up to about 10:1),Hedman Headers and a Stealth/Holley 700 combo and around a .510-.520 lift cam:burnout:.Making the tow truck fast will give me incentive to make the Comet faster!
