My car has a Holley Blue pump on it and Its so loud I CAN HARDLY STAND IT. I `ve heard that the Mallory comp 140 is alot less noisy can anyone varify that? I really want to get one that s as quiet as possible, yet still does the job as it should.

I hear that the Aeromotive pumps are almost silent. The holley pumps are notoriously loud, which is nice on a race car that way you know for sure it's working. They suck on street cars though.

    Holley Blue Pump

Just in case you get another I would like to buy the blue one from you. Let me know if it would be for sale.

hey, old guy, while we're on the subject. What would a good size fuel pump for a almost stock but will be fixed later 5.0, probably going aeromotive for the low noise?....and since I'll be running a carb and electric fuel pump will I need a return fuel line?

We had this discussion on an earlier post. I believe it was Mavman who recommended the mallory pumps. I have a high dollar Paxton and it's no quieter than the Holly I started with.

    Fuel Pump

Any of the least expensive pumps in the catalogs would work, Holley red is one choice or the Mallory etc. No need for a return line yet, good idea to get a fuel pressure regulator and gage though for future upgrades. Should only need a max of 6 lbs of fuel pressure right now. Back about 50yrs ago:D , there was a electric pump made by Bendix that was as quiet as a mouse after initial start up, but all good things have gone to the dumper with new technology. In some cases, those good things needed to be flushed away:D :D

yes, the Aeromotive pumps are about the quietest i've seen but not all of them.....the "log" style are very quiet and are right at home on street/strip cars but get ready to spend some money!! My paxton pump is loud but I cant' really hear it over the 3" exhaust so it hasn't been a problem for me.....but remember, if you can hear your fuel pump that means it's working!!!;) :D
