I am redoing my instrument panel, and I will have to reroute most of the wiring. Since I'm discarding the existing wiring harness, I need to know what the different color wires connect to. I've done some tracing back myself, but I want to be sure before I put juice to any of it. Two in particular I wonder about; one is red with different sheathing that the other wires, more rubbery, and has printed on it "do not strip or cut...resistance" there is also a black wire w/ the same sheathing and printing. I would like to believe these come straight from the switch, but I'm really not sure. Any help would be appreciated

take a picture of it an post it, maybe someone has seen it. I had a 67 stang with severe electrical problems. I would suggest getting ahold of maverick detailed wiring diagrams, and take a few days studying it, that is what I did with the stang, it is a headache, but you will figure it out in the end.

Go to Charlie Ping's web site: maverick/grabber information site, which is a link on the home page. He has them for a '71, and all these cars are pretty much the same. Helped me a bunch on my '70.
