Left knob is on-off and volume. Right knob is tuning. There are two plugs in the rear of the radio- one plug is for the dial light and radio power, the other is the speaker connection. I'd check for power on both the power wires first, you know one is hot with the dash lights on, make sure the other is hot with the key in the run and accessory postion. If you have power, and ground, hook a known good speaker to the speaker output wires. You should hear static or sound. The antenna cable runs through the firewall to the antenna. If the mast is broken off and there is a stubb, about 1" to 2" sticking up from the mount, you can buy a replacement mast that goes over the stubb and secures with setscrews. Hope this helps.

Turn the left knob clockwise to turn on radio and increase volume. The right knob rotates either direction for stations. If you hear nothing after this I would say your radio is broken. I would go to a store that sells car sound equipment, they have marine type radio antennas that you can just stow underneath your dash. That way you dont have to worry about the ugly antenna on the fender. To swap fender antenna you will have to take off the right fender. Do a search on that subject, there is a current thread all about that, even showing the differences on right and left fender removal.
