I just bought three Johnny Lightning Mavericks. One looks like a dark blue Mad Mav but I'm not sure it is. Didn't they have two engines? The others are a Yellow '71 ('70) Grabber and a white with blue interior '70 Grabber.

The blue one is just a regular JL casting but in a "Zinger" form, it came in a 10 car set I believe, and yeah the Mad Mav had 2 engines.

I found them at a book store here in town that also carries JL, Hot Wheels and Matchbox. I was tracking a couple of them on e-bay until I found these.

It pays to go to church...
A friend gave me a Mighty Maverick from his collection of Hot Wheels last Sunday. It's been painted red over the original chrome so I'm going to try to carefully strip the paint but leave the chrome. Any suggestions?
