I am looking for an old JoHan model of the Maverick drag car, circa 1973 for the kit. I will take it built or unbuilt, if the price is right. If anyone has one, or knows were (e-bay has none), let me know.

Hi Earl, I have several models. Is this the one you are asking about? I'm not offering to get rid of any of mine but I may be able to help you get one if I know which you are looking for.

    Earl,
I'll keep my eyes open for you. I presently have two of that particular car. I bought my first one in 1977. I thought I had the only Maverick model in the world because I could never find another one...of any kind. Then along came eBay, boy was I wrong. I quickly bought another one so I could build one and keep the other one put away. I have since found four different Maverick models for my collection on eBay...and also two Comet models. There are still even more out there I have yet to get my hands on. It just requires close monitoring. You should expect to pay anywhere from $25-50 bucks when you find one.
Good luck and I'll let ya know if I see anything since I'm on eBay every night.
    Ray
