I like that.:) I wish our Walmart would carry the Johnny Lighting Mavericks. They seem to carry everything BUT the Maverick.:banghead:

They screwed us!!!! It's a 1970 .... not a 1971 .... :( That really sucks that they didn't take the time to stamp a correct Grabber hood and get the stripes correct! They had no problems getting the Coronet hood done correctly ... Guess we need to start an email complain about false advertising .. Except for the properly shaped hood stripes it is identical to the Tiger 1970 Grabber ..

SOB! I had a feeling something was not right when they only showed the car from a side view with the hood open, I took a chance hopeing it would have the correct hood scoops, but it does in fact say it's a 1971 Maverick Grabber, I 'll keep it and ad to my collection, however I think we need to let them know we'r not happy to be mislead, any idea's?

I think they reproduced the Gremlin better than the did the Grabber :(

I agree...we should send them a mass emailing to complain. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same casting as the Tiger car.

I would bet they saved a ton of $$$ and either purchased the casting from Tiger or had Tiger make them ... either way ... it should not be advertised as a 1971 Grabber ... Perhaps the President of the MCCI should write a letter to Playing Mantis who is the manufacturer of Johnny Lightning cars ....

With all the freaking diecast Gremlins, Pacers, Vegas, etc ... out there .. somebody has got to do a diecast Maverick with a correct Grabber hood and Stripe ... come on!

That's what I was worried about. That's why I went ahead and won my first one before I let everyone in on it. I actually have bids in on 3-4 more of them but I won't get into any wars with you guys on them. I'm hungry but not greedy. :) They're bound to show up on the shelves soon...I hope.

I found this site a few days ago. I did a search and couldn't find it on the Forums. Hope this hasn't been posted before:

http://www.ediecast.com/ - Goto the top of the page and type in 'Maverick'. They've only got the '70 Grabber, just in different colors and styles.
