Johnny Lightning Key chains

    I got my first Johnny lightning 71 MAV today, a yellow one, showed it to a co worker who searched it on ebay, found key chains someone is trying to sell for
    $25 a piece. The one shown happens to be exactly (down to every detail ) like the Die cast car I just bought, is J/L making thee key chains or is someone sticking a cheap chain on these and raping people for $25 , I paid $4 for the car today.

    I think they are J/L cars with keyrings on them.

    i went to his store and he has buy it now prices at $5.95, $7.95, $14.95, $17.95, and $24.95. i don't see where there's that much difference in the key chains. if it is a J/L then i sure wouldn't be comfortable with it in my pocket. with the keys hitting it the paint would last about a day.:huh:

    They are just guys buying cheap key rings and adding them to the JL cars

    I bought a vw bug keychain to match my 73 super beetle, it was too cumberson to put in my pocket. It sits on the dash of my semi right now, never made it to the bug! Only gave about 3 bucks for it, so it wasn't a major investment. Good thing it wasn't, the paint is rubbed off where it has rubbed against the windsheild.....

    Yeppy,I bought one,$14.95 I think it was.The paint is actually pretty tough,although it's wearing off the edges of the bumpers.Never had seen a J/L Mav in the stores or I woulda made one myself.

    I am one of those that overpaid for a 67 Fairlane keychain. It is nice and all, but I got taken..think it was 24 bucks. I never see 67 fairlane stuff so I just "had" to have it :(

    Yea, they are doing the same with the Fresh Cherries cars. They buy a $2 toy car, add a 10 cent key ring, then get suckers like me to pay $12 for it.

    I have a red Fresh Cherries car hanging from the rearview mirror in my '72. And I have a yellow one that will go in the '69 when I get it on the road. :)

    I got the three JL orange Maverick Calendar cars in today that I ordered. They are awesome and the cars ain't bad either. :)

    They are not cheap chains!!!!!!!!! If you can buy the cars for $4 the chains must be worth $21 if they are charging $25.
