Leaky steering box

    Refilled my bone dry steering box to find the oil leaks by the the pitmanshaft seal like mad. Can the seal be changed out without any magic tricks????

    Easiest thing to do would be to open the box and remove the sector shaft to change the lower seal.

    It's supposed to be packed with grease, what are you filling it with?

    Put some 50W in it. OPPS.............what type/Wt. of grease??

    The sector shaft seal is replacable. Remove the arm, pick the seal out without damaging the shaft surface. The seal, may be difficult to find. I found one from Greens auto in New Brunswick, Canada.
