I have a 20-year-old Rotary lift model sp94 that won't stay up unless it's resting on the safeties. It's been fine for years but last month started to bleed down. I have the proper amount of fluid in it as far as I can tell. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what to do? I would appreciate any help.
    Thanks.

Release valve is leaking internally or you have a hydraulic leak somewhere.Does it leave a puddle on the ground at all???

It has always leaked a very small amount (I'm talking a few drops a month) near the release valve but It's never been a problem. There are no leaks anywhere else.

I would pull the release valve apart and look for debris keeping it open or a weak spring/seal.It should be rebuildable/replaceable.just be sure to kill power to the lift first.Good luck.

Mavman72, that's exactly what I did today. I removed the release valve and lo and behold I found a broken O-ring. Replaced it and damn if it didn't work! I was so happy that it was so easy to fix. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
