was in the shop changing the oil in the Mav. had the car on the lift all day, up and down several times. as I was letting it down for the last time this is what I saw. I don't know how many times I raised/lowered the car before I saw this... ...check lift points each time before you lift car...
Who says subframe connectors dont do much for stiffness??? These things are so front heavy...I have had both of mine on a few different lifts and you can allmost push the rear arms out when its in the air. Thats useing the factory recommended lift points too. I have found that if your pads are not adjustable for height..A pair of 4" chunks of 2X4 (one on each front pad) shifts enough weight to the back to put weight on the rear lift pads, without tilting the car drastically. You got lucky today Frank... Glad it wasnt a pic of patches on her side man!!
thanks... the bias seems pretty good. with the rake of the car the front tires come up about 4" before the rear tires clear the floor...
I noticed this with jackstands after adding subframe connectors. Before, there was enough flex that all four stands were loaded, after... Well, there's always one that can be pulled out by hand.
