This could be done with a few parts from Radio Shack. You'd need two 12v relays and a 12v buzzer. You will need 3 different 12v sources to make it work. A constant 12v to feed the buzzer, a 12v line switched by the parking lights, and a 12v line switched on when the key is in the run position. Then just hook them up like the diagram.

In the past I've used a headlight warning buzzer that cost about 5 bucks. Not sure where I bought it, either WalMart, or a local auto parts store. It's a little white plastic box (about 1" by 1/2" by 1/2") with 2 wires. One goes to ground. The other one taps into the instrument panel lights fuze (forget which side). Sounds a little tinny, but you definitely can't miss it.

Great little bit of info, I have to admit there have been a couple of times that I have left my lights on, only to come out to a dead battery. I guess the modern conviences of the newer models do spoil you!

71gold, let us know how you make out on this one.

    Thanks,
    Dave

Sounds like a great little addition for my Mav. If I ever get the time, I'll add this to my list of things to do. Thanks, and if you complete it soon, 71gold, let us know how it went. Thanks.
