So here is my deal I don't have alot of money but can't stand just having am radio in my 75 comet. Is there a cheepish way to swap antennas or something? I don't really care if I have am just as long as I have fm. Also a ways to plug in my iPod would be loved but other than nearly no money I would really like to preserve the classic knobs and face of the radio...

Any help would be greatly appriciated and if it's simply not doable let me know

    GO FAST!er

Should be able to find an am/fm radio on ebay or at the junkyard. Find one that will fit the Maverick bezel.:)

He said it out of habit. 75 Comet = 75 Maverick except for emblems, tail panel/lights, grille and hood.

you could mount your new stereo somewhere hidden if you go with one that has a remote. surprisignly many of the walmart cheapies even come with remotes now. then leave the stocker in the bezel....

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
If you run a amp you can use your ipod. Dont even need a radio. I have my Zune hooked up to the input of my amp using those headphone jacks to RCA adapters that they sell at the 99cents store. Man i love my first gen Zune i went through 3 ipods that broke. They are built great, i drop mine all the time and its still working great after 2years. The 2nd gen Zunes are a different story they break easaly when dropped.

I was just browsing and stumbled on this:

    http://www.retrosoundcanada.com/products/details/id/43

I haven't tried this product, nor do I know much about the company, but it looks pretty cool and kind of what you're looking for. It even has a USB port to plug in digital meda devices, which is rad.
